University transit pass holders can opt-in to Metro Mobility - a shared-ride public transportation service for certified riders who cannot use regular fixed-route buses due to a disability or health condition.

Universal and Employee Transit Pass Holders

To ensure that University students and employees who are also certified Metro Mobility (MM) users are provided with equitable service levels and costs, Parking & Transportation Services manages this program for MM rides for eligible Universal Transit Pass (UTP) and Employee Transit Pass (ETP) holders. 

To participate in the program, you must: 

  • Be eligible for and activate your UTP/ETP 
  • Be eligible for and certified with Metro Mobility 
  • Complete this form

You will need to provide your Employee ID and MiFare number. Both are located on the back of your U Card. Visit the U Card Help Center for additional information. 

Once eligibility is determined, a value of $80 will be loaded onto your U Card and funds automatically refilled.

Information for non-transit pass holders

If you are not eligible for the Universal or Employee Transit Pass Programs, Metro Mobility program information and an application form can be found on the Metropolitan Council website or by calling 651-602-1111 (TTY 651-221-9886). University community members are eligible for discounted fares.
