Lost and Found Items

Reporting a lost item

Please submit a service request for all lost items. This information allows our team members to search through existing inventory and cross-reference items recovered later. The likelihood of recovery increases significantly when you provide detailed information and photos.

We take more immediate action on same-day inquiries for the following items (based on team member availability):

  • Cash, credit cards, and IDs.
  • Wallets, purses, and keys.
  • Electronic devices, such as phones and laptops.

Please call our office after you have submitted your service request.

Processing

Transit

Drivers complete routine inspections and gather lost items. Due to the frequency of lost items, we can only request that drivers stop mid-route for electronic devices, keys and wallets or purses. For all other items, please wait for the bus to circle back, then inspect the vehicle and speak with the driver.

Parking facilities

The facility where your item was lost may not be staffed. In most cases, we recommend you revisit the area to inspect it yourself.

High-value items

A third party may occasionally take high-value items directly to the Department of Public Safety. If you have lost a high-value item, please contact them to inquire about next steps.

Holding

We cannot hold recovered items indefinitely. Any unclaimed or abandoned items may be donated, repurposed, or discarded.
