No—charging these devices is not permitted within campus buildings.
Unfortunately, the safe charging of these micro-mobility devices will continue to be the owner's responsibility. We do not currently have facilities that will accommodate large-scale charging of these devices and, therefore, we do not encourage their use when private charging is not possible.
Observe the following safety measures when charging:
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions for charging, storing, and handling your device's battery.
- Only use the original equipment manufacturer's charger to charge your device's battery.
- Charge your device's battery while plugged directly into a wall outlet. Never use charging strips or extension cords.
- Do not modify or attempt to alter or repair your device's battery.
- Never charge your device unattended or overnight. Never leave it plugged in when it is not charging.
- Avoid charging or storing your device's battery in extreme temperatures.
- Handle your device's battery with care–do not drop or submerge it in water.
