Active Mobility methods like biking are popular on campus and are a great way to get moving while going about your day.

Parking

What is a parking contract?

Parking contracts are loaded on your U Card and allow you to enter and exit your designated facility. A parking contract is not good for parking in any facility.

How do I get a parking contract?

Parking contracts are sold by semester and must be renewed each semester. Contract spaces are first come, first served, with availability in parking lots, ramps, and garages that vary in price. View our student contract page to view form open dates. Rates are charged to students by semester, prorated by preferred start and end date as requested during the sign up process. Charges will appear on your student account.

The Universal Transit Pass gives fee-paying students unlimited access to public transit from their U Card. Those who don't pay the fee may be able to opt-in.

Several bus lines operate in the Twin Cities metro, and many have direct routes to the U.

Additionally, the METRO Green Line travels down Washington Avenue through the heart of the East Bank campus. The METRO Blue Line offers individuals quick and easy access to key destinations like the airport and the Mall of America. The Northstar Commuter Rail also provides convenience for those from the northwest corner of the suburbs.

Metro Mobility is also available for certified riders who cannot use regular fixed-route buses due to a disability or health condition. Get more details
