Introducing a Smarter Way to Book Your Paratransit Rides

We are excited to announce a major upgrade to how you book and manage your campus paratransit rides. Beginning this Monday, August 17, you can download and use the new Gopher Paratransit app (iOS coming soon, use our web interface this week) — designed to make scheduling your rides across the Twin Cities campus easier and more convenient.

What’s new with Gopher Paratransit

The new app addresses the limitations of our previous online platform, offering a streamlined experience. With Gopher Paratransit, you can:

• Book in advance: Schedule your rides quickly without needing to call.
• Manage your trips: View, update or cancel upcoming reservations directly in the app.
• Live tracking: Track your ride’s location in real time as your pickup window approaches, so you always know when to expect your ride.

Transition timeline

The new Gopher Paratransit app is available on the Apple App Store (coming soon), Google Play Store and online.

• For rides between now and August 28: Continue to use the existing online or phone booking system for your ride.
• For rides on or after August 31: Download and use the Gopher Paratransit app or access it via the web interface.

Campus paratransit is available to all University of Minnesota Twin Cities students, faculty and staff who are unable to use fixed route transit. There is no registration or payment required.
