We are seeking a strategic, hands-on leader to join Parking & Transportation Services as the Infrastructure and Transportation Systems Assistant Director.

The Role

This isn't just an office job—it’s an opportunity to manage the physical heartbeat of the University. Your work will include: 

  • Managing Infrastructure: Oversee repairs and capital programs for 120 surface lots, 17 parking structures, 11 miles of streets, and three million square feet of sidewalks.
  • Innovating Systems: Direct electronic traffic management systems for daily peak travel and major events.
  • Collaborating Regionally: Partner with MnDOT, Metro Transit, and the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul on regional projects.
  • Driving Sustainability: Coordinate electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and promote transit alternatives.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a BA/BS degree and at least eight years of experience in a large organization. You should have a proven track record of supervising staff, managing budgets, and influencing stakeholders. Knowledge of civil engineering or traffic operations is preferred.
