Metro Transit Gathers Feedback

Metro Transit is embarking on an 18-month project, Network Now, that will help make decisions that best respond to the needs of the communities they serve.  

Over the coming months, Metro Transit will invite feedback on the values and principles they should use when making service decisions. They will also explain how we got to where we are today and the state of the current transit network.    

A list of prioritized service changes that could be made in the coming years – guided by the values and principles defined through Network Now engagement – will be completed in early 2024.    

As part of this work, there may also be the public process needed to discontinue routes that have been suspended for several years now.

Metro Transit route changes

On Saturday, Dec. 2, Metro Transit made changes to transit service throughout the metro. As always, these quarterly service changes adapt and adjust to current and projected ridership and Metro Transit's available resources and driver workforce.

From Monday, April 17 through at least the fall of 2023, Cleveland Avenue will be closed between Buford and Larpenteur Avenues for Ramsey County construction work. Note: the Buford Avenue intersection will be temporarily closed until they complete construction through that intersection.

UMN Named a Top Bike Friendly Campus

The University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus has once again been named one of the top places in the country to ride a bike, according to the League of American Bicyclists, a grassroots advocacy organization encouraging better bicycling and protecting the rights of people who bike.
