On-Demand Staff Shuttle

We understand the importance of efficient transit around campus for our staff members -  we're excited to introduce our Staff Shuttle Service, offering convenient on-demand transportation to designated locations across campus. Here's what you need to know:


  • Service Hours: Our shuttle service operates from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Capacity: Each shuttle can accommodate 1 to 4 riders
  • Pick-up and Drop-off: You can request pick-up and drop-off at any designated paratransit location on campus
  • Ride Slots: Rides are available every 20 minutes at :00, :20, and :40
  • Advanced Booking: Plan your commute easily by booking your shuttle ride in advance. Reservations can be made from 1 hour up to 2 weeks before your desired pick-up time

Using the Service

Add/Change/Cancel a Reservation Online

  • Add, change or cancel a reservation 24/7.
    Note: all same-day adds, changes and cancellations must be made by phone between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. These must be at least 60 minutes before the pick-up time.
  • See a list of your pending and past reservations
  • Copy a past reservation to create a new request
  • Manage your contact phone number

Add/Change/Cancel a Reservation by Phone

  • Call the Shuttle/Paratransit appointment line at 612-624-8338 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
    Monday through Friday (closed on University holidays).
  • Requests must be at least 60 minutes before the pick-up time. If you have difficulty getting
    through on that line, an alternate phone number to call is 612-624-1083.
  • If you need to cancel a ride when PTS Customer Service is not open, please call the reservation line 612-624-8338 and leave a voice message or call before 4:30 p.m. the prior day. You can also email parking@umn.edu with the subject line: Ride Cancellation with the same timing.
