From Monday, June 3 through Wednesday, July 10, Pleasant Street SE between Arlington Street and the Washington Avenue Bridge will be closed to all vehicle traffic. Additionally, the Washington Avenue Bridge will be closed to westbound vehicles.
If you walk or bike
Avoid the area by going through the Northrop Mall area. If this is not possible, the west side of Pleasant Street will be open to pedestrians and bicycles. Follow marked detours.
If you use transit
Metro Transit’s Routes 2, 3A, and 3B will be on detour. View details on Metro Transit’s Rider Alerts webpage.
The westbound Campus Connector is being rerouted south on Oak Street to Washington Avenue, then west on Washington Avenue, stopping at Northrop Mall and continuing to Blegen Hall. The Ridder Arena stop will be relocated to southbound Oak Street by Mariucci Arena. The Jones/Eddy and Bruininks stops will be relocated to westbound Washington Avenue at Northrop Mall. If you drive
Vehicle traffic will be detoured north on Pleasant Street from Arlington Street, East on Fourth Street, and South on the 10th Avenue Bridge to reconnect to Washington Avenue. Detour signs will be posted.
