Winter break Paratransit operations

From Monday, December 18, through Friday, January 12, Paratransit Service will operate from 7:20 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

If you need a ride after 6 p.m. during this time, we will schedule a Lyft pickup for you. You must request after-hours pickup 24 hours in advance. 

Please email buspass@umn.edu with the following: first and last name, phone number, email, pick-up time, origin, and drop-off locations. 

Additionally, there will be no service on Monday, January 15, in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Meet John Mark Lucas, Transportation Programs Manager at the University of Minnesota who was recently featured in the Association for Commuter Transportation Newsletter.

Hennepin County will improve University Avenue and Fourth Street SE between Oak Street and I-35W.

The City plans to improve the intersection of 15th Ave. and 5th St. SE. in southeast Minneapolis to make it safer for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Gopher Bikes is a convenient full-service program to help you get around campus. Bicycles are available on a first-come, first-served basis as available. 

On March 16, Metro Transit will make changes to transit service throughout the metro. These quarterly service changes adapt and adjust service based on current and projected ridership, available resources, and driver workforce.

During construction, pedestrians and bicyclists will not be able to cross the full length of the bridge through fall 2025.

On February 5, the Gopher Way connections between the three buildings have reopened after construction.

Beginning on Tuesday, January 16, our in-person customer service hours will be available from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. on weekdays, to align with team capacity.
