Summer Parking Updates and Sustainable Transportation Education for Earth Day
Review the summer transportation schedules on and around the Twin Cities campus along with sustainable transportation resources in honor of Earth Day.
Bikes and scooters
- Rent a summer bike locker beginning May 1 for $15.
- If you don’t bring your own bike or scooter to campus:
- Borrow a Gopher Bike from your residence hall for the day or request one from the Bike Center (subject to availability).
- Use a shared bike or scooter from Spin or Lime.

Transit
- Campus buses will begin summer schedules on May 14.
- If you have already activated your Universal Transit Pass and aren’t registered for fall semester, you will continue to have access through September 1, 2026. Others may opt–in to the pass for summer.
- The Employee Transit Pass is available to all benefits–eligible employees with 50% or greater appointments. Learn more about the opt–in process.

Parking
- Applications for student contracts for summer 2026 open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22 and are available online. Fall contract applications will open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22.
