After undergoing repairs, the Stone Arch Bridge will be fully accessible to pedestrians and cyclists starting Saturday, August 9th. Since early December 2024, the bridge has been undergoing repairs to the mortar and has not been fully accessible since. It was scheduled to reopen in the fall; however, repairs are projected to be completed ahead of time.
A family-friendly event will be held from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. to celebrate. The celebration will feature food trucks, live entertainment and more. It will kick off with a ribbon cutting ceremony at Father Hennepin Bluff Park and will be followed by a walk across the bridge.
