The University provides designated disability parking spaces throughout campus. A state-issued disability certificate or license plate is required. Campus Maps provide existing disability parking and meter locations.

Contract Parking Facilities
Disability parking spaces within contract facilities are available to University employees and students with a state-issued disability permit or license plate. Current contract rates apply. Priority is granted to persons with disabilities for the duration of their state-issued disability credential.

Public/Visitor Parking Facilities
Disability parking spaces designated with signs can be found in all public/visitor parking facilities. Public/visitor and event parking rates apply.
Meters
University meters are free for a maximum of three (3) hours if a state disability permit or license plate is properly displayed.
- After three hours, meter patrons must relocate their vehicle a minimum of 600 feet from the original parking space.
- Posted time restrictions apply at some locations.
- City of Minneapolis and Park Board meters may have different requirements.
On-Street Parking
On-street locations designated by signs are free for a maximum of three hours if a state permit or license plate is properly displayed. The three-hour time limit is waived after 4:30 p.m. weekdays and all day on Saturday and Sunday.
