Details
The closure of Commonwealth Avenue has been extended to August 13 due to weather. Please continue to use your U Card, PPC, or Hangtag to park in your alternate location. Expired hangtags have been extended and will not be ticketed through August 13.
Commonwealth Avenue and sidewalks on both sides will be closed in St. Paul for a complete reconstruction between Cleveland Avenue N and Gortner Avenue.
- Carter Avenue should use Eckles, Buford, and Gortner Avenues to detour around the closure.
- Eckles Avenue will be closed south of the Food Science and Nutrition building. Use Buford and Gortner Avenues to detour around the closure.
- Fifield Street should use Knapp Avenue, Cleveland Avenue N, and Buford Avenue to detour around the closure.
Lot 101
Lot 101 will be closed during construction. Contract holders–use your U Card to park in Gortner Avenue Ramp at no additional cost. Scan your U Card at entry and exit. If you experience issues, pull a ticket at entry and push the help (“i” icon) when exiting.
Lot 149 and Boyd Avenue (Veterinary Medical Center Area)
If you need to access Lot 149 or Boyd Avenue, use the east entrance from Gortner Avenue. Boyd Avenue will not be accessible from Commonwealth Avenue during construction.
Lot 150, St. Paul Heading Plant, and Facilities Management Building
The west entrance/exit to the area will be closed for construction. All traffic will need to use the east side entrance/exit.
Lot 152
Lot 152 contract holders may use your hangtag to park in Lot 153 or use your U Card to park in Gortner Avenue Ramp at no additional cost. Scan your U Card at entry and exit. If you experience issues, pull a ticket at entry and push the help (“i” icon) when exiting.
