University Paratransit Service Changes Scheduling Frequency and Adds Locations
Tuesday, January 4, 2022 - 09:08

Beginning on January 31, 2022, Parking & Transportation Services (PTS) will implement changes to the paratransit scheduling system.

Those changes are:

  • Rides will move from 15-minute slots to 20-minute slots.
  • Rides will be available on the hour, 20 mins after, 40 mins after (for example: 7:00 a.m., 7:20 a.m., and 7:40 a.m.).
  • Geographical zones have been added - Riverside (UMMC), Parkway (MIDB area), West Bank Office Building (WBOB) - as the University has acquired additional properties.

Increased congestion on campus and the need to serve additional remote locations, like Riverside, MIDB, and Prospect Park have increased the time necessary to travel on and between campuses. This effort will enable PTS to keep more accurate van arrival times.

University Paratransit Service is a van transportation service that operates Monday through Friday year-round, except on University holidays. Anyone who is unable to use fixed transit and needs special transportation service while on campus can request a free accessible ride (curb-to-curb). The service operates on the Twin Cities campus.
