Beginning October 1, 2023, University of Minnesota Twin Cities parking contract rates will increase, depending on the facility type as detailed below. For many, the new parking rates will be deducted from paychecks from October 2023 until September 2024. 

24-hour contract rates vary by facility type. A parking lot contract will cost $81 a month, an increase of $2 per month. A parking ramp contract will cost $112 a month, an increase of $1 per month. Most parking garages will cost $146 a month, an increase of $1 per month. 

Reserved stall contracts are an additional $25 per month on the base rate. Evening and motorcycle contracts will not change. 

These changes are due to increasing costs for maintaining campus transportation infrastructure. PTS is a self-supporting department and each year examines its parking rates as part of developing a responsible and fair budget.
